Palladium Promises- A Charitable Event

 In Community, Lifestyle, Palladium Agents

“When we started Palladium Properties, we envisioned a real estate company with heart, devoted to a strong sense of community and philanthropy,” said Krista Klees, owner and founder of Palladium Properties.

With literally hundreds of nonprofits just within our small mountain community, how are we to choose just one out of so many worthy causes? Our solution was “Palladium Promises”- a festive event with food, wine, and an impressive and influential group to raise awareness for non-profits near and dear to those around us. Participants gather together and pledge their “Palladium Promise”- to make a donation to a charity of their choice.

Some people will proudly announce their contributions to charity from the rooftops while others prefer a more understated presence. How do you 1) encourage all types to donate and 2) keep everyone happy? Keep donations anonymous! We had all of our Palladium Promises participants complete vouchers denoting the charity donated to, a short description of the charity, reasons for donating, as well as monetary value.

Moderator and Palladium Properties broker, Ann Abernethy went through the stack of “promise vouchers” while attendees enjoyed lunch at Element 47 at The Little Nell and learned about the commendable causes of their contemporaries’ choice. Those who preferred to stay anonymous went on to enjoy the experience, and some particularly impassioned individuals gave themselves up, adding onto the laundry list of why their cause was so special to them- we are sure glad they did!

When all was said and done, our first Palladium Promises luncheon raised over $6,500 in donations to charity! These Palladium Promises will benefit:

Aspen Center for Environmental Studies
Adopting Angels
American Society of Landscape Architects
Aspen Animal Shelter
Aspen Education Foundation
Aspen Hope Center
Aspen School District
Aspen Youth Center
Buddy Program
Challenge Aspen
Colorado Women’s Education Foundation
Early Learning Center
English in Action
Forest Conservancy
Hospice of the Valley
Lucky Day Rescue
Mind Springs Health
Mountain Family Health Centers
Peterson Hospice
Roaring Fork Leadership

At the end of the day, so much was gained. For us as a company, it was incredibly gratifying to have our first event of the kind be a success. Our desire for philanthropy was bolstered by the generosity and positive energy of an incredible group of people. We can only hope that our next Palladium Promises event will be even more successful, more inspiring, and more fun than the first!

Promise you’ll join us.

Promise you’ll continue your good work.

Together, we will make this world better!

That’s our Palladium Promise.
